Life-long learning

L&T LogoCourses on Offer for Lent

From Now On  is based on the hugely popular film The Greatest Showman. The 2018 Golden Globe-nominated movie about the founder and stars of the Barnum & Bailey Circus is ideal for Lenten study of Christian themes of hope, redemption and new life. The five-week course offers discussion points, biblical reflections and prayers based on short film excerpts.

Thursday Evenings at 7.45pm from March 14th at 69 Hartwell Road, Long StreetFriday Mornings at 10.00am from March 15th at 34, Western Drive, Hanslope (sessions 1, 3 and 4) and 12 Weavers End (sessions 2 and 5).

The Art of Lent is a delightful book and describes and interprets a series of paintings for each day of Lent. Artists often address subjects that our culture seeks to avoid, and Sister Wendy’s brilliant and perceptive reflections will help you to read these paintings with a more discerning eye, and encounter deeper levels of spiritual meaning than may at first appear. We offer this course in tribute to her, after her death earlier this year.

Wednesday Evenings in Castlethorpe at 7.45pm from March 13th at 60 Thrupp Close (sessions 1-3) & 18 The Chequers (sessions 4-5)
